Volunteers

Our volunteers are extraordinary! We are fortunate to have the support of a large and dedicated group of loving volunteers, many of whom have stepped forward in loving service repeatedly since the project began. A group of 40-60 volunteers are an integral part of each Freedom to Choose program. The volunteers are all graduates of the University of Santa Monica Master’s Degree program in Spiritual Psychology, and they donate their time and pay their own way to support workshop participants in learning the skills taught in the program. Over 260 volunteers have participated.

Volunteering in Freedom to Choose is an opportunity to express the highest part of yourself. Each team is comprised of new and returning volunteers and is chosen afresh. If you are a USM graduate and would like more information on volunteering, please contact us.

We are also developing a team of Community Volunteers. If you are interested in being of service in Santa Barbara County, please contact us.

“I was touched beyond my wildest imagination. My eyes were opened to the strength of the human spirit to survive. There were many women present who expressed wisdom that blew me away. They sopped up the teachings at an amazing pace, as someone who has been deprived of water. And they demonstrated their ability to put it to use very rapidly.”
